Scholarship Information

Scholarship applications are reviewed by the NSS Education Committee, which is comprised of professional sculptors. All scholarship moneys are awarded directly to the educational institution throught which the student applies, to be credited towards that student's tuition. The educational institution the student attends has to be an accredited American institution.

Internal Revenue Service regulations require by law (code section 53.4945-4[c]) that non-profit organizations retain evidence that scholarship moneys are used for their given purpose. Therefore, as a matter of proper procedure, the National Sculpture Society requires proof that course work was completed successfully. This information should be sent to the Society at the end of the student's term, and may be in the form of a report card, a progress report from a professor or administrator, or any other verifiable indication that the individual is using the given scholarship funds towards his or her artistic education.

The deadline for submission of applications is May 31 every year. Applications must be in NSS’ office by that date.
